MESSAGE FROM HIROSHIMA illustrates the immense suffering and loss that resulted when the world\'s first atomic bomb detonated in the historic city of Hiroshima. Today, where the Hon and Motoyasu rivers meet, stands the Peace Memorial Park -- the former location of the Nakajima district, which was once home to thousands of people and hundreds of businesses before the bombing.

Survivors and former residents recount their lives before the bombing, accompanied by computer-generated recreations of buildings and people that could have existed. Old footage, paintings, and lost photos of families intertwine with intimate narration by award-winning actor, George Takei, to revive the memory of the sights, sounds, and smells of a lost culture and people.

PICTURES FROM A HIROSHIMA SCHOOLYARD presents the aftermath of the first atomic bomb through the remarkable drawings and stories of surviving Japanese school children who were part of an extraordinary, compassionate exchange with their American counterparts after the war.

The rediscovered drawings were restored by members of the All Souls Church, who several years later embarked on an emotional journey to Japan to exhibit the artwork at the Honkawa school and reunite the surviving artists for the first time with the drawings they created as children.

Produced by Emmy Award-winning filmmakers, NAGASAKI JOURNEY is a powerful, yet hopeful look at the immediate and continuing aftermath of the atomic bomb dropped August 9, 1945 on Nagasaki, Japan.

The film tells the moving personal stories of two Japanese survivors and a U.S. Marine, who was one of the first American troops to occupy the city after the war ended. All three dramatically reveal how the impact of this single bomb forever transformed their lives and their thinking. Despite the enormous wartime tragedy, their common humanity transcended previous hatreds, providing hope the Nagasaki bomb would be the last atomic weapon ever dropped in warfare.
