Seinen Manga (青年漫画)

Seinen manga are stories which are written with an older teen or adult male audience in mind. While seinen manga series cover the full range of genres, including fantasy, romance, comedy, sci-fi, horror, and more, there are several stylistic features that characterise this category. Seinen manga usually possess a darker or grittier tone than shōnen or shōjo stories, and protagonists are less likely to be uncomplicated 'good guys,' as you might encounter in other styles - they don't always end up saving the day.
