Heroes of all kinds (YA comics)

In the comic world, there are heroes of all shapes, sizes, and species, which is why we've called this list Heroes of all kinds.

This list is very heavy on Marvel and DC comics - we understand that these two powerhouses have published a LOT of comics and sometimes it might be a bit daunting to choose what to read when you're faced with a wall of comics and graphic novels, so we're here to help you make your first foray into the world of heroes. And we've thrown some manga in there too.

If you have a favourite hero and want to explore them in more depth, why not check out The Wellington Comic Lover's Guide (links for each guide are listed on our YA Comics homepage). We may have written a full guide on them! If not, check back regularly as we are adding to this resource all the time.
