World Suicide Prevention Day 10th September 2024

World Suicide Prevention Day is held annually on 10 September and aims at bringing people together about how we can work to create a world where fewer people die by suicide.

World Suicide Prevention Day's 2024-2026 theme is "Changing the Narrative on Suicide" with the call to action "Start the Conversation".

This theme aims to raise awareness about the importance of reducing stigma and encouraging open conversations to prevent suicides.

Whether you're feeling low and looking for mental health support for you or seeking advice for a loved one, your local library can provide you with resources and information to help. This is a selection of books from our catalogue, browse here https://kir.ent.sirsidynix.net.uk/client/en_GB/default for more.

Every chat, no matter how small, builds a more supportive and understanding society. Together, we can make a difference and prioritise suicide prevention, helping everyone gets the support they need.
